Logona Cosmetics - Part 2: Skincare

Hello Everyone! I hope all of you are having a wonderful day. Yesterday, I talked to you about Logona Cosmetics and we talked about their makeup. If you didn't have a chance to read that review go here, if you are interested in knowing more about their makeup. If you have already read about who Logona Cosmetics company is, feel free to skip on down to the review part of this review. This is just an opportunity for those who may have missed it. Now, onto the skin care!

Who is Logona Cosmetics?

"In 1975, a group of inspired and like-minded friends opened a shop, Lorien Goods, in Hanover, Germany. Their shop featured the few products available at the time that fit the values of the new, green movement. To expand their shop’s selection and to wholesale to other stores, the group began to import products from outside of Germany. In 1977, they decided it was time to begin manufacturing their own body care products and LOGONA was born.
LOGONA’S commitment to manufacturing and packaging body care products in an ecologically responsible manner resonated with their customers and the product line steadily expanded over the years. Today, LOGONA offers more than 200 natural personal care and cosmetic products.
In 1990, the company (now called Logocos) added a new line of natural care products, Sante, to appeal to a younger consumer."
I found their whole background very interesting. I hope to try their Sante products one day, but today we will keep our focus on Logocos products. However, if you wish to check out either line you can go to their official sites here:  www.logona.us or www.santeusa.com

The Products/My Thoughts

What I think is really cool about their skin care products is they provide you with a chart, so that you can figure out which skincare products are best suited for you. You can find it by clicking on any of the products, and it will be in their info. I have also provided the link since its too big for me to post the full size, and you can view it here.

Now onto the products...

Day Cream Bio Rose - "LOGONA Organic Rose Day Cream delivers the deep, lasting hydration your dry skin needs every day. The mild composition of botanical oils and extracts, derived from organic cultivation, stimulates healthy skin functions to help maintain your skin’s supple, silky texture. Contains oils of organic almond, jojoba and wild rose, as well as shea butter and the extracts of damascus rose and goji berry." I absolutely love the smell of this day cream, I love anything with roses for that matter. It's a day cream, but I have found even using it at night truly helps to hydrate your skin, because it sits all night. I have really dry skin and this product has helped a lot! Like all their products, I also like that its a certified Natural Cosmetic.
Price: $26

Eye Gel Bio Rose & Aloe - "Skin firming oil-free hydration. LOGONA Organic Rose & Aloe Eye Gel tightens and firms dry and sensitive skin around the eyes. The oil free formulation of this delightfully light gel includes extracts from organic aloe vera, damascus rose, eyebright, and goji berry. It delivers stimulating hydration and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles." I'm not positive its from the eye gel, but I've noticed when I wake up in the morning my eyes aren't as puffy as they usually are. Since this is the only gel I am using right now my best guess is it has to do with this eye gel. I like how immediately when you put it on it dries fast and you can feel it tightening the skin. Great for someone on the go like myself. I will report back in coming months, because I feel to truly come to a conclusion about it I will have to use it longer. So far I like this little tube of joy.
Price: $28

Age Protection Eye Cream - "Age Protection Eye Gel with organic sea buckthorn berry extract and hyaluronic acid reduces the appearance of fine lines and small, dry wrinkles, intensively nourishing the skin around the eyes." This was one of the products that I didn't choose, when asked what I wanted to review, but I am so glad it was included. This is one eye cream that I can say truly works! I noticed in a short amount of time that my skin remained tighter and smoother. I have very sensitive skin and just like the other Logona skin care products, this did not bother my skin.
Price: $32

Overall Product Score: 4.3*

This concludes Part 2 of the two part Logona Cosmetics review. Once again I have discovered a company that not many know about, but a company that I think everyone should know about. It's the whole reason I became a blogger, so that no matter if the product is $1 or $1000 you get complete honesty. If you haven't checked out Logona Cosmetics, and you are in need of some new skincare products, I urge you to give them a try.

If you have tried them before, have you tried any of their other products? If so which ones? I would love to hear your feedback on Logona Cosmetics. So feel free to leave your questions/comments below! Until next time, remember to STAY BEAUTIFUL BY STAYING YOU! XOXO.

Logona Cosmetics - Part 1: Makeup

Hello all my beautiful readers! Today, I want to talk to you about a company I recently had the pleasure of coming across called Logona Cosmetics. For this review their will be two parts to it. The first review will be just about their makeup line and the other about their skin care line.

Who is Logona Cosmetics?

"In 1975, a group of inspired and like-minded friends opened a shop, Lorien Goods, in Hanover, Germany. Their shop featured the few products available at the time that fit the values of the new, green movement. The Products/My Thoughts

Eyeshadow Trio No.4 Ocean - "Trio Eyeshadows come in alluring color combinations. For every eye color and every day and evening look - from unpretentious and elegant to sophisticated and extravagant."

I absolutely have fallen in love with this eyeshadow trio. The camera covers the colors well, but how it looks in person is amazing. You can layer it which is what I did, or you can just use one or two colors from it. There are a lot of different possibilities.

Price: $24

Double Lip Pencil No.5, Ruby Red  - "The wooden lip pencil gives lips a delicate sheen or matte shine. Two complementary shades in one pencil." I am not much of a lip pencil kind of girl, but the more I get comfortable with makeup, the more I have been wanting to try them. I must say I love the way this one glides on with ease. What I like the most is it has the two colors that I wear most (red and pink) so its very versatile.
Price: $20

Double Eyeliner Pencil No.4, Steel Gray - "Dual eyeliner pencil. For highlighting the corner of the eye in various shades." To me one side is grey and the other side is a dark blue. I love the formula itself, but I am however confused on the naming of this particular pencil, that would be my only complaint. It glides on nicely though, and while I am a black eyeliner kind of girl this dark blue color fits my eyes well.
Price: $15

Double Eyeliner Pencil No.5, Rosewood - "Dual eyeliner pencil. For highlighting the corner of the eye in various shades." On this pencil to me one side is a pinkish brown (rosewood is fitting) and the other side is a dark brown. What I love about these pencil's from Logona are the colors I have never seen before. I like that they fit my eyes quite nicely, and am looking forward to experimenting with different looks in the future.
Price: $15

Lipstick No. 1 in Rose - "For stylish, silky-soft lips in irresistible shades with an extra creamy texture and high anti-aging care qualities." This was my FAVORITE lipstick/product in the whole lot of makeup. It's one of those colors that just screams for attention! Check out the picture below to see what I am talking about. If your looking for that showstopper lipstick, this is it.
 Price: $22

Lipstick No.2 in Pink - "For stylish, silky-soft lips in irresistible shades with an extra creamy texture and high anti-aging care qualities." Another wonderful creamy lipstick! It's a lot like the one above but this is called "Pink" instead of "Rose." I would take a picture of it, but it comes up exactly the same on camera. The only way to truly see the slight shade difference is in person. After trying their lip products, its the one product I have to say I will be coming back for more of!
Price: $22

Liquid Eyeliner No. 1 in Black - "Makes the eyes stand out: Liquid eyeliner for highlighting the lid." Ahh, now this is more me! I have to say when it comes to eyeliner, I have a strong passion for black eyeliner. This is completely random, but you know one of my favorite things about this eyeliner? The smell! Most eyeliners have this weird chemical smell, this formula however does not and almost has a fragrant to it. Besides the wonderful smell, I love how quickly this eyeliner dries, and how easy it is to apply. Liquid eyeliners always make me nervous, but this one dries so fast you don't have to worry about smudging or getting in in your eyes!
Price: $22

Overall Product Score: 4.1*

Well, that concludes Logona Cosmetics - Part 1: Makeup! My next blog post will be about their wonderful skincare line, so be on the lookout for that tomorrow. Have you ever tried anything from Logona Cosmetics or is there anything you would like to try from them? I would love to hear your feedback/questions, feel free to leave them below!

Influenster - Vitality Vox Box

Hello Everyone! I hope you are all having a wonderful day. Usually, I don't do an unboxing of any of the Influenster boxes on my blog, but being this has a lot to do with beauty, I thought it would be appropriate.

What is Influenster you ask? Influenster is a site where you give your opinion in exchange for products! Now, not everyone gets a Vox Box, you usually have to fill out a survey and if your the right fit then you get one. The more work you put into Infuenster, the more you will get out of it. Want to become part of Influenster? I would love to send you an invite, all you need to do is either leave your email below or send me an email with your email if you don't want it public. You can do this by filling out the contact box on the front page. I only have 20 invites, so if you want to try it out don't hesitate or wait! :)

Now onto the box...

First Look

Inside The Box...

The first look of the box had me super excited!

Pure Leaf Ice Tea - "Pure Leaf Iced Tea is made from real brewed tea for that fresh brewed taste. It starts with the finest ingredients and adds no preservatives, resulting in a refreshing, real brewed tea with perfectly balanced aroma, body and flavor." I love how healthy this is for you and it taste great too! It doesn't say on the card how much this is, but I want to say Walmart has it for $5.50.

Bikini Ready Energy Gummies - "New Bikini Ready Energy Gummies are a great tasting B-12 vitamin supplement that act as an energy booster. Along with a healthy diet and exercise program, this scientifically advanced formula helps to boost your metabolism and increase your energy so you can maximize your workouts." I just took some of these (you have to take 5!) and while it hasn't been long enough for me to notice a difference, I must say they are really yummy! They taste just like regular gummy bears. ha ha. So, I have to watch and make sure, I don't eat them for a late night snack. ;)
Price: $14.99

Playtex Sport Fresh Balance - "Introducing NEW Playtex Sport Fresh Balance with Odor Shield technology. It's designed to neutralize odors for ultimate freshness on and off the field. Combined with a 360 degree design for Sport Level Protection so you can go the distance." Okay, so we all know what this is for ladies. Do the work? I will say they defiantly get the job done. I haven't had any leakage, but I plan to totally put these to the test and report back on my next cycle.
Price: $3.99

First Degree Advanced Burn Cream - "First Degree Burn Cream's patented healing formula helps repair skin damage from all types of minor burns. Whether from cooking, grilling, using a hot beauty tool - or even a razor burn - trust First Degree to soothe pain on contact, protect against infection, and help reduce the appearance of scars." When I first got this, I was like what the heck do I need this for? Then I begin to read that it helps reduce the appearance of scars. I had surgery awhile back, so I am going to test this out and see if it helps with that at all. I can see this useful for other things as well.
Price: $5.97-$8.99

Softlips Cube - "Revolutionary 5 in 1 lip care combines an advanced formula with an innovative new cube-shaped package. Lips look radiant and feel softer, smoother and more hydrated. It is avaliable in three delightful new flavors: Pomegranate, Blueberry, Mint, and Vanilla Bean." I really wish I would have received the Vanilla or even the Blueberry, but I received the mint. I'm not crazy about the scent, but the product itself is amazing. It makes my lips feel really smooth! Now, I am on the hunt for the other ones.
Price: $3.49

Elizabeth Arden FLAWLESS FUTURE Powered by Ceramide Caplet Serum - "First signs of aging? Keep calm and reclaim your flawless complexion with this innovative skin serum. Featuring a suspended caplet mini-bead formula that activates when dispensed, it helps to reinforce skin's essential moisture barrier, even skin tone and texture, and reduce the appearance of early signs of wrinkles for a revitalized complexion." I am 25 now, and as much as I hate to admit it, I think its past time for me to try some anti-aging products. I was really excited to see this in the box, I think its perfect for me, and I hope it works. It's really expensive though, so lets hope I get some more samples in future boxes!
Price: $60 for 1.0 fl oz

Novex - Argan Oil Extra Deep Hair Care Cream

Hello Everyone! I hope all of you are having a beautiful day. I have tried Novex products in the past such as their Brazilian Keratin Treatment and loved it. So, when Novex asked if I would like to try their Argan Oil treatment I was thrilled!

If you aren't familiar with the company, Novex is the haircare line, and Embelleze runs it. They have been around since March 8th, 1969! Their products are #1 sellers in Brazil, and recently have become a huge hit here in the US. If you wish to learn more about the company, feel free to go here to find out more!

About The Product:

"Known as the Moroccan Gold for its medicinal properties and its versatility, the Argan Oil is a powerful moisturizing and natural antioxidant that fights the free radicals, helping to repair damages on the cellular membrane, increasing the strength of the capillary fiber and fighting the frizz. Moreover, it contains Vitamin E, that gives live to the strands and helps to renew the hair against the damages caused by outer agents. Novex Argan Oil is enriched with the most pure oil extracted directly from the Argan trees in Morocco."

  • More shine and smoothness
  • Enriched with Pure Argan Oil and Vitamin E
  • pH 3,5
  • High concentration
  • High density
  • Rich in vitamins

My Review:

I love the way the way my hair felt after using this product. It made my hair silky smooth and less frizzy. The way the weather has been lately, frizz has been a big issue. Not to mention the smell of Argan Oil is enticing. I mentioned this in my last review of Novex products, but I thought I ought to mention it again. Usually, when I use deep hair care treatments I just throw it in after shampooing my hair and wash it out after a few minutes not thinking much more about it. But when I received the sample product it came with a really nice detailed card with the "professional" way to put it in your hair. You do this by separating the hair into 4 parts and putting the product on with a brush. One useful thing it pointed out was to avoid touching the root, because the scalp has natural oils already in it. I think with these little tips it helps the product to work that much better.

I actually think overall, for me personally, I prefer the Argan Oil over the Brazilian Keratin repair. I prefer it because of the added frizz control attribute. There is a Novex hair treatment for all hair types! They have the Novex Bamboo which gives your hair intensive growth and strength. Next on my list of must tries though is either their Novex Olive Oil (which moisturizes and protects) or their Novex 15 Brazillian Actives (which has natural proteins and hydration). However, that will be for a later date but I do plan to try them all to help you figure out which one is the one for you!

Currently, Embelleze has this on sale at Amazon for $8.99 plus shipping. I know you can also find their products at Sally Beauty supply as well. If you are on the hunt for a specific product from them I suggest you check it out to find a retailer near you on Embelleze USA’s website.

Overall Product Score:  4.8*

What do you think of Novex Argan Oil Treatment? And have you tried any other products by them? I love hearing your comments and/or questions so feel free to leave them below!

Cleopatra's Choice - 100% Pure African Shea Butter

Hello all my beautiful (and handsome) readers! Today, I want to talk to you about a new brand I discovered called Cleopatra's Choice. The product I received is 100% Pure African Shea Butter, which has been such a pleasant surprise.

About The Company

From what I have read, the company has been around since 2005. They search to find the rarest, unique, and the highest quality of products to bring to their company. The business started by introducing Dead Sea products to the US, and expanded from there. Why are they called Cleopatra? Here is their answer: "Cleopatra was a Queen of ancient Egypt and is legendary as the most beautiful woman in the world at that time. She was famous for her youthful skin and looks which stayed radiant and healthy even as her age progressed. Cleopatra thought so highly of skin care products from the sea, that she went to great expense to have cosmetic factories built on the shores of the sea. Their remains can still be seen today at Ein Bokek and Ein Gedi. Since we started Cleopatra's Choice by selling primarily Dead Sea products and Dead Sea salt, and we believe that Cleopatra was no fool when it came to beauty, youthful looks and healthy skin, we decided to name our website Cleopatra's Choice. Our belief is that you too deserve to treat your skin like royalty."

Adovia, which is a company I have worked with before has presented me this product (by partnering up with them) to try out. If you wish to read more about Adovia, you can read what I had to say about them here. So far? I am intrigued.

About The Product/My Thoughts

What I think is pretty awesome about this product is the fact that it is a fair trade product, produced by women subsistence farmers in Ghana, Africa. I love how each product gives back to the community by providing jobs to people who could really use them. Now at first I was really turned off by the fact that it was a solid product, and yes I wish the packaging was a little different. However,  that is also the beauty of this product. What I mean by that is it's a 100% pure, unrefined, organic Shea butter. Meaning that it has no additives, so you know exactly what is going on your skin. After reading an article about how 60% of a product, you put on your body is absorbed into the skin, I must admit I now think before I choose what I put onto my body! It has a great amount of Vitamin A&E, and helps treat dark spots. It is also great for keeping the skin moisturized.

Can you tell the difference? The left hand is without the Shea butter, while the right hand is with the Shea butter. The way my skin felt after I put the product on felt luxurious, nor did it clog my pores. I also find it amazing how much product you receive in each container; 1 pound! I have no idea how long it will last, but each time you don't have to use very much. I imagine if sealed correctly, it could last for a year and that's if you use it every day! I have used lotion all of my life, but after trying this now I think I will be switching up because of the wonderful benefits I have seen so far. If you wish to purchase this product as I did, you can purchase it on Amazon for $16 here. Now, this may seem like a lot for just some Shea Butter, but the quality is amazing and the amount is insane (ha ha).

 Overall Product Score: 3.9*

Have you ever used any solid forms of Shea Butter? What do you think about the product? I would love to hear your experiences with them as well as how you feel about the product. Feel free to leave your questions/comments below!

Glossybox - June 2014

Hello Everyone! I hope all of you are having a wonderful Friday, TGIF right? Today, I would like to talk about June's Glossybox, and yes I know its August 1st. Once again Glossybox is late, but I won't hold it against them because as always they have pretty awesome boxes.

If you don't know what Glossybox is, it is a monthly subscription in which you pay $21 a month (sometimes cheaper so check for discount codes first!), and you get a selection of usually 5 beauty products to your door each month. What I love about Glossybox is the value is always higher than the price of the box, and you truly get your money's worth. If you wish to subscribe you can do so by going to my link HERE to subscribe.

"A luxurious body cream containing pure English honey, organic cocoa, Vitamin B5 and shea butter to leave skin soft, nourished and delicately fragranced. Like all Mitchell and Peach products it contains steam-distilled floral essential oils from the Mitchells’ fifth-generation estate in Kent, England." I love the way this cream feels, its very luxurious. To me it smells fruity almost like a peach, but maybe that's what they were going for? The only thing is I have a problem paying $61 for a hand cream. Nonetheless, it is a useful product, smells great, and will not go to waste!
FULL SIZE: $61.00/6.08OZ

Malin + Goetz Mojito Lip Balm

"Flavored with (MALIN+GOETZ) Mojito, our lip balm is scientifically blended to restore and replenish. Our hydrating lip gel easily integrates for daily maintenance, prevention and treatment of dry, irritated lips. Color and Paraben free." I love the way this feels on my lips, and it is very moisturizing. I only wish I had known about this brand sooner, EOS has some competition. ;)
FULL SIZE: $12.00/.36 OZ

Glamglow Youthmud Tinglexfoliate Treatment

"Designed as a 10-minute professional ‘facial in a jar’ for behind-the-scenes use in Hollywood’s Entertainment, Music, Fashion & Award industries, for immediate camera- ready glowing skin. GLAMGLOW’s mud base is from the South of France Mediterranean Sea, home to glamorous Cannes, St. Tropez & Monaco. For Men & Women, all Ages & Skin Types. Use a couple of times a week or simply when you need GLAM-tastic™ skin." This was the one product in the box, that I was most excited about. I love the way it makes my face tingle, and makes my skin glow. This will be a product I put on my Christmas list, (along with several others!) and use when I feel like my skin needs some pampering.
Full Size: $69.00/1.7OZ

Philip B PH Restorative Detangling Toning Mist

"Water-light leave-in toner adjusts the pH of tap water to seal the cuticle of your hair, for a remarkably smooth, shiny finish. Boosts manageability and shine with Apple Cider Vinegar, a natural astringent and pH balancer. A featherweight blend of essential oils detangles, obliterates frizz and static, and imparts a light botanical scent. Spritz on clean wet hair—or use to revive your style anytime!" Don't get me wrong the product works (I've had it before), but it has the worst smell, I have ever smelled in a hair care product. Yes, I realize this is the Vinegar in it. I am told the smell goes away after awhile, but my nose is so sensitive, so I will have to pass this one on to a friend. I do love Philip B products, and would like to try some of their other products.
FULL SIZE: $24.00/4.23 FL OZ

Skin INC Custom-Blended Soothing Serum

"Hydrate and soothe dry, sensitized skin with this custom-blend of four types of ceramides and hyaluronic acids, as well as Skin Inc's patented encapsulation technology. The lightweight serum also helps strengthen your skin protective barrier and its ability to retain moisture." There were three different types of serums you could have received, all which were customized for Glossybox. There was a brightening serum, an anti-aging serum, and this one. I think this one was a perfect pick for my skin, because my skin is so dry. I haven't tried it out yet, because I am trying to finish up my other serum first. I have heard wonderful things about the company though, and I love that you can customize your own serum on their site (the link is above in blue where it says skin INC).
FULL SIZE: $45.00/.34 FL OZ (this is a full size!)

I think that Glossybox did really well this month, the serum alone was twice the amount what I payed for the box! I won't be subscribing next month because of finances, anyone want to buy me one or donate? Just kidding, but no foreal. I would recommend you get next month's because its their BIRTHDAY BOX, and that's going to be something special.

So how did you enjoy Glossybox this month, and what was your favorite product in the box? And if you don't subscribe, what is keeping you from doing so? I love hearing your comments and feedback so please feel free to leave them in the comment box below! :-D
