Ipsy - September 2015

Greetings! I hope everyone is doing okay. Today, I want to share with you what was in my September Ipsy Glam Bag! September you may ask, isn't it October? While yes, yes it is. I actually had an issue with the eyeliner in my bag. It completely fell apart. Being the wonderful company Ipsy is they sent me a replacement! Ipsy has the best customer service I have ever dealt with. This month's theme was "Face Fashion!"

Now that the contents are all here, let's get to it!

If you don't know what Ipsy is, it's a beauty subscription bag designed just for you, (by taking the beauty quiz) that cost $10 a month. The $10 also includes shipping. Beauty Guru Michelle Phan curates the bags, and you generally receive 5 items.

If you wish to sign up you can sign up through my personal referral link here: Ipsy Sign Up

Every month you receive a bag with your Ipsy items in them. This month the bag design (as seen above) opened from the side of the bag; instead of the top. I noticed they have been having a lot more that open from the side. I love the ones that open from the top, so I am hopeful they will go back to that design.

This design (seen above) was a gold metallic bag. On the front the material has a wave pattern on it, while the back of it does not. I love the gold bag this month, and the style is sooo me!

Now let's see what I got inside my Glam Bag this month. Feel free to click on any of the pictures below if you want to see up close any of the products...

"This eye-catching pencil has a soft & smooth formulation. It’s an eyeliner with an innovative staying power. A long-wearing, waterproof liner will keep your eyes inked and smudge free."
  • Soft and smooth
  • Intense color
  • Waterproof and smudge-proof

While I was crushed that when I opened the pencil it had been damaged and unusable, I am glad I contacted Ipsy to replace it. I wear mostly black eyeliner, but after trying this eyeliner in bronze it is now one of my new favorite colors! This pencil glides on very easy, and has a ton of pigment.

You may want to known since I wasn't sure, that you can use it once it runs out by sharpening it. It doesn't look like it can be sharpened, but it does. Making this product go a long way!

Price: $3.99 (FULL SIZE!)

"This 3-color eye shadow palette gives you go-anywhere intensity day or night thanks to the highly pigmented formulations. Provides intense eye colors with a silky texture for seamless application for any eye look that you desire. It consists of 3 complementing eye shadows to wear together or alone."
  • Each eye shadow provides great color payoff with every application.
  • Create any look on the go with the help of the dual applicator that allows you to apply, smudge and line your eyes effortlessly.
  • Exclusive palette designed by NYX just for ipsters!

I love how NYX made this palette just for Ipsy. I think it's pretty cool that we have a customized product. They are really pretty shades of brown, and their are two shimmers and one matte. I think these colors will look good almost anyone, and I enjoy the fact it takes me out of my comfort zone.

Price: $6.00 (FULL SIZE!)

"This rich, creamy, non-setting skincare mask provides intensive soothing care to dehydrated and over-stressed skin. Its unique formula deeply penetrates skin and in minutes, sensitive or tired skin can become supple, soft and radiant again. It also offers instant relief for burns, sunburns, redness and tightness.
  • Replenishes moisture to dehydrated skin and helps restore skin’s barrier
  • Minimizes redness
  •  Paraben-free, Hypoallergenic, Non-Comedogenic, Vegan and Gluten-Free
I have so many skincare masks it isn't even funny, so at first I wasn't thrilled to see this. However, after trying it this is now one of my favorite masks. It does a really great job at hydrating the skin. I also like the fact I can use it when my skin gets sunburned. I will defiantly be buying a full size of this in the future.

Price: $26.00 (for a full size; value for sample size around $4?)

"Create bolder, fuller lashes with Be Bold 3x Volume Mascara. Available in 3 different lash enhancing functions, each with a unique brush to add volume, length + volume, or curl + volume to every lash. Each mascara comes in a deep black shade."
  • 3X lash volume
  • Long wear formula
  • Smudge proof

Usually, I really enjoy City Color Cosmetics products. Their highlighting powder is amazing. This product did the job when it came to mascara, but I was a little disappointed. It just wasn't anything special in my opinion. It will get used though.

Price: $5.99 (FULL SIZE!)

"If you enjoy yourself, it’s not really a waste - it’s your prerogative.” Trust Fund Beauty is a quick-drying, chip resistant polish comes in cute bottles complete with some seriously sassy names. Plus, it’s 7-free, non-toxic, vegan, and cruelty-free. Don’t mind if we do!"

I was super excited to receive this nail polish! The make such pretty colors, and I love that their polish is vegan and non-toxic. This color (dark lilac) was no exception.

Price: $15 (FULL SIZE!)

Here is what I spent some of my points on this month:

"A universal, transforming long-wear eyebrow pencil infused with cutting-edge brow enhancing ingredients and technology. The oval shaped tip is perfect for both thin and thick brows. The spooly end brush gives a natural polished look. Brow Power Universal Eyebrow Pencil matches all hair colors and covers gray perfectly. Full brow lift guide included with each pencil."

This is my favorite eyebrow pencil. This thing works, and it is really amazing. It makes my brows look even and precise. I would highly recommend this product, if you are looking for a good brow pencil.

Price: $24 (FULL SIZE!)

This month we received a value of around $55! Not only did I get to try some new products, but I received a great deal since I only spent $10. Profusion Cosmetics

(click to enlarge this or any of the pictures below)

Hey There!
I hope everyone is having a wonderful day so far. Today, I want to talk with you about a makeup brand I am sure all of you may have used one time or the other and never even realized it. Profusion Cosmetics is a popular makeup brand that make wonderful cosmetics for an affordable price.

It was established in 1999 in Ontario, California. They started with 20 products and grew to well over 400 products. Profusion is also behind brands such as Cranky Girlz, Hot Looks, and Lorna - an accessories line. Profusion Cosmetics products are nationwide from China to South Africa their isn't a place where Profusion hasn't laid ground. So naturally when I was given the opportunity to try out some of their products, I jumped at the chance.

I actually did a piece on Profusion Cosmetics when I first started blogging (don't judge :-p). To check that piece out you can do so by going here: Profusion Baked Eyeshadows

This is a super cute lip gloss. It goes with literally anything, and is great to pair over any sort of lipstick as it goes on pink to almost clear. It also has a light strawberry scent which is intoxicating! It's not sticky which I also really like.

I wasn't able to find much on the product because, I believe it is a wholesale item. However, the item number is S078. I also know they have a wide array of colors with the same Leopard Print Applicator.

If you wish to checkout their lipglosses you can go to their main site here:

This was my favorite item that I received. You can purchase this palette currently at Ulta for only $4.99 which is a complete steal!

Contains 6 colors from bright and vivid to soft and subtle.

For a Smokey look: Use a dark shade to line your upper eyelid in a thin line along the upper lashes. Use a medium shade for the crease and lightest shades for under the brow.

For a Neutral look: Use light brown, medium brown and dark brown. Use a dark shade to line your upper eyelid, in a thin line along the upper lashes. Use a medium shade for the crease and lightest shades for under the brow.

There are a couple of different variations of this palette I have seen for each eye color. I am usually not a fan of neutrals, and have always been a blues and greens sort of girl. However, this palette is really blendable and you can do a lot with it.

Up above, are some looks I did with the palette.

The last item I received was the "Perfect Blend Naturals Palette." What I love most about this palette is that the palette resembles an eye, so you know exactly where to put each color. Put that with the eyelashes and you have a bunch of va-va-voom!

This is a look I did to mostly showcase the eyelashes in this palette which I love. The colors in this palette are very natural, and really just enhance the eyes.

To purchase any products from Profusion checkout your local Ulta, Walmart, Walgreens or just about anywhere where cosmetics are sold.

You will be really surprised to see how much they are actually apart of our cosmetic stores. They are also extremely affordable!

You can also go to their site to purchase their products as well by going here:

What do you think of Profusion Cosmetics? Do you remember using any of their products in the past? If so what do you think about them? I love hearing your questions/comments so, feel free to leave them down below!

Until then Stay Beautiful by Staying You!

XOXO,

The Products/The Review

"Our Mineral Bronzers protect and highlight your complexion with a beautiful, sensual tone. Made with pure minerals and silky shimmery pigments, use it to sun-kiss your face or any other part of your body. Contains Vitamin A, C and E."

You will see in the final look, but this was my favorite product out the bunch. Being such a pale complexion, I was terrified of this product at first. I usually just use solid bronzer's that turn into powder. However, using just a little bit and a kabuki brush makes it go on perfectly. I love the sun-kissed glow it gives me.
Price: $17

"Our Volumizing Mascara extends and separates the thinnest, shortest, hard-to-reach lashes by lengthening each lash while delivering just the right amount of mascara without clumping.  Our formula contains rich dark pigments to enhance lash color for maximum drama.  It is clump-free, fiber-free and is suitable for contact lens wearers.  Enriched with vitamin B5."

More than anything, I liked the way this mascara felt in my hand. I was able to get a good grip on it, so that I could get to each lash. Some mascara's are so top heavy, and this isn't anything like that. I also appreciated the fact that it wasn't too thick, so I had NO clumping. It's defiantly a mascara, I will get good use out of.
Price: $13

"Our Intense Black Eye Liner Pencil is a smoothly textured eye pencil that provides precise definition and easy, smooth application.  The pencil applies evenly without "dragging" or pulling the delicate eye area which produces a clean precise line without smudging."

I don't know if it was the way it was sharpened or just the fact that it's a really great formula, but I was impressed with this eyeliner. If you don't know by now, eyeliner is my favorite makeup product, as well as the product I am most critical of. This will be one of those eyeliner's however, I can see myself using down to the nub...ha-ha.
Price: $11

"Our Mineral Shadow Liners are made with pure minerals and luxurious color pigments.  Their creamy powder texture provides an immediate release of intense luminous color with superior blending for a long-wearing, crease-resistant application. When mixed with water, you can use it as a beautiful long wearing eyeliner."

I got the choice to choose 1 of the eye shadow duo's or 2 of the shadow liners. Since I prefer brighter colors, I went with the shadow liners. What I love about these is that you can use them as regular eye shadows or as an eyeliner. This was the perfect shade of what I call Sea Green, however you may think different when you sea it. It was also my favorite of the two.
Price: $14

"Our Mineral Shadow Liners are made with pure minerals and luxurious color pigments, thin silky formula provides long lasting coverage while gliding on softly and easily. Build color intensity and blend effortlessly. Apply as an eye shadow with our Multipurpose Brush No. 15, use the Petite Brush No. 18 to highlight your accents. Use wet to create your own custom liner, using our Precision Eyeliner Brush No. 25."

This shadow looks green, but it's actually a VERY dark blue. A little too dark for my liking, but I think as an eyeliner it would be okay. It also has a LOT of sparkle, when the light hits it right.
Price: $14

"Our Hydrating Stick Gloss is a revolutionary hydrating product combining color and hydrating gloss in a stick form.  It has a buttery, creamy feel that nourishes your lips while delivering color in a sheer and sophisticated finish."

I love this gloss! It's just like described, it is a very creamy and has a buttery feel yet very sheer. I can see this being a lipstick that you can wear everywhere, rather it be the office or for a date. There's so many pretty colors to choose from, and I can't wait to try them all.
Price: $15

I was really amazed at the quality of all of these products. I am glad I had the opportunity to try them, and I can't wait to try more. What do you think of all these "Glamorous" products? Which one is your favorite? Feel free to share below!

There's only 1 last thing to share...

One Direction - Midnight Memories Collection

Hello Everyone! I hope you all are having a wonderful week. Today, I want to talk to you about an item I received called the One Direction Midnight Memories Collection! Now, I am not really a fan of One Direction but think their makeup line is pretty cool. They actually have three different ones called Take Me Home, Up All Night, and this one which is Midnight Memories. All of them with different color combinations. Up above is the front of the box.

Up above is what the inside of the box looks like when you open it. In the inside it gives you a detailed description about what's inside, and even tells you how to use the eyeshadow for different looks.

Now Let's take a look at some of the makeup...

"Through The Dark" Lipgloss - Liquilights Lip Gloss - Electric glitter poppy lip gloss that glows to neon red-orange under UV light. I love the color of this lipgloss, its such a pretty splash of sparkly pink. I also tested out under a black light to see it change colors, which was really cool. I didn't even know they made lipgloss like that until now.

"Best Song Ever" Lipstick - crimson red creme lipstick. This is such a pretty shade of red, and I was actually impressed with the formula. It was very smooth and went on with ease. It also looked great on me as well, even though I have such a light complexion.

4+1 Eye Shadow Palette - in smokey shimmery grays and neutrals: "Little White Lies" - palest warm gray "Don't Forget Where You Belong" - Soft Pink Shimmer, "Half a Heart" - metal gray, "Strong" - Charcoal black matte shimmer, "Midnight Memories" - silver glitter creme. I think these are such pretty and easy blendable colors to use. I like how all of the colors have that little touch of sparkle to give it something extra.

"Better Than Words" Eye Pencil - The Blackest black eye and body crayon. I have never thought about using this as a body crayon, but it defiantly makes you think! This eye pencil works very well, and I didn't have any problems using it.

"Little Black Dress" Mascara - Volumizing mascara in perfectly black. I took the picture so that you could see the way the wand of the mascara is made. I like how this mascara wand gets each of your eyelashes covered, without any clumps.

"Right Now" Nail Varnish - Liquefied metallic steel nail varnish. I think this is a really pretty color of polish. It is the perfect color of steel gray. I don't know if I mentioned it before, but I love how all the bottles have such great detail with what looks like little black bricks on each of the items.

5-Piece Stencil Set - I thought these were really cool stencils, you can use them for just about anything. I used the diamond one to give my niece a stencil for her nails. I thought it was a nice little added bonus, and made the kit that much better.

I think this would make a wonderful gift for a teenage girl or just someone in general who likes makeup like myself. You don't necessarily have to be a One Direction fan to enjoy this makeup kit, but it certainly doesn't hurt!

If you would like to get more info about this kit and keep up with the makeup line, they have a facebook page you can go to located here:

You can get this kit at Macy's, Stage Stores, Dillards, Beauty Brands, and Lord & Taylor. You may be able to find it else where but please make sure you buy it from a trusted retailer!

Overall Product Score: 4.0*

Let me know below what your thoughts are about the new One Direction Makeup Line! I would love to hear your feedback rather it be a question or comment. Thanks so much for reading, and be on the lookout for more great reviews!
XOXO.

Logona Cosmetics - Part 1: Makeup

Hello all my beautiful readers! Today, I want to talk to you about a company I recently had the pleasure of coming across called Logona Cosmetics. For this review their will be two parts to it. The first review will be just about their makeup line and the other about their skin care line.

Who is Logona Cosmetics?

"In 1975, a group of inspired and like-minded friends opened a shop, Lorien Goods, in Hanover, Germany. Their shop featured the few products available at the time that fit the values of the new, green movement. To expand their shop’s selection and to wholesale to other stores, the group began to import products from outside of Germany. In 1977, they decided it was time to begin manufacturing their own body care products and LOGONA was born.
LOGONA’S commitment to manufacturing and packaging body care products in an ecologically responsible manner resonated with their customers and the product line steadily expanded over the years. Today, LOGONA offers more than 200 natural personal care and cosmetic products.
In 1990, the company (now called Logocos) added a new line of natural care products, Sante, to appeal to a younger consumer."
I found their whole background very interesting. I hope to try their Sante products one day, but today we will keep our focus on Logocos products. However, if you wish to check out either line you can go to their official sites here:  www.logona.us or www.santeusa.com

The Products/My Thoughts

Eyeshadow Trio No.4 Ocean - "Trio Eyeshadows come in alluring color combinations. For every eye color and every day and evening look - from unpretentious and elegant to sophisticated and extravagant."

I absolutely have fallen in love with this eyeshadow trio. The camera covers the colors well, but how it looks in person is amazing. You can layer it which is what I did, or you can just use one or two colors from it. There are a lot of different possibilities.

Price: $24

Double Lip Pencil No.5, Ruby Red  - "The wooden lip pencil gives lips a delicate sheen or matte shine. Two complementary shades in one pencil." I am not much of a lip pencil kind of girl, but the more I get comfortable with makeup, the more I have been wanting to try them. I must say I love the way this one glides on with ease. What I like the most is it has the two colors that I wear most (red and pink) so its very versatile.
Price: $20

Double Eyeliner Pencil No.4, Steel Gray - "Dual eyeliner pencil. For highlighting the corner of the eye in various shades." To me one side is grey and the other side is a dark blue. I love the formula itself, but I am however confused on the naming of this particular pencil, that would be my only complaint. It glides on nicely though, and while I am a black eyeliner kind of girl this dark blue color fits my eyes well.
Price: $15

Double Eyeliner Pencil No.5, Rosewood - "Dual eyeliner pencil. For highlighting the corner of the eye in various shades." On this pencil to me one side is a pinkish brown (rosewood is fitting) and the other side is a dark brown. What I love about these pencil's from Logona are the colors I have never seen before. I like that they fit my eyes quite nicely, and am looking forward to experimenting with different looks in the future.
Price: $15

Lipstick No. 1 in Rose - "For stylish, silky-soft lips in irresistible shades with an extra creamy texture and high anti-aging care qualities." This was my FAVORITE lipstick/product in the whole lot of makeup. It's one of those colors that just screams for attention! Check out the picture below to see what I am talking about. If your looking for that showstopper lipstick, this is it.
 Price: $22

Lipstick No.2 in Pink - "For stylish, silky-soft lips in irresistible shades with an extra creamy texture and high anti-aging care qualities." Another wonderful creamy lipstick! It's a lot like the one above but this is called "Pink" instead of "Rose." I would take a picture of it, but it comes up exactly the same on camera. The only way to truly see the slight shade difference is in person. After trying their lip products, its the one product I have to say I will be coming back for more of!
Price: $22

Liquid Eyeliner No. 1 in Black - "Makes the eyes stand out: Liquid eyeliner for highlighting the lid." Ahh, now this is more me! I have to say when it comes to eyeliner, I have a strong passion for black eyeliner. This is completely random, but you know one of my favorite things about this eyeliner? The smell! Most eyeliners have this weird chemical smell, this formula however does not and almost has a fragrant to it. Besides the wonderful smell, I love how quickly this eyeliner dries, and how easy it is to apply. Liquid eyeliners always make me nervous, but this one dries so fast you don't have to worry about smudging or getting in in your eyes!
Price: $22

Overall Product Score: 4.1*

Well, that concludes Logona Cosmetics - Part 1: Makeup! My next blog post will be about their wonderful skincare line, so be on the lookout for that tomorrow. Have you ever tried anything from Logona Cosmetics or is there anything you would like to try from them? I would love to hear your feedback/questions, feel free to leave them below!
