Parnevu - T-Tree Shampoo & Conditioner

Hello Everyone! I hope everyone is having a terrific Wednesday, and enjoying their week. I have lots of reviews coming up, including a giveaway so be looking out for that! Today, I want to talk to you about a wonderful company I discovered. I will be honest I wasn't expecting the results from Parnevu to be nearly as good as they were, but they truly impressed me. I only wished I had knew about T-Tree products sooner. Before we talk about the products, let me tell you a little bit about the company.

About The Company:

"The Legend of Parnevu"

When Patrick Obukowho left Chicago State University with a B.S. degree in Chemistry, he was determined to unlock the secret to making ethnic hair beautiful, resilient and manageable without using harsh chemicals. Toward this end, he founded Advantage Research Lab, LLC, a consulting firm for the personal care industry, specializing in the art and science of ethnic hair and skin care product development.

As he researched ingredients that would be particularly effective on the coarser, drier hair of women of color, he came upon the tea tree advantage. He found that by producing tea tree oil from the leaves of the Melaleuca Alternifolia Tree, he could produce products that promote the natural healing that tea tree oil is known for. This resulted in total hair and scalp health.

Mr. Obukowho noted that the Tea Tree Oil, coming from such humble beginnings as the little known Melaleuca tree in Australia, made a rich and outstanding impact on the hair of women and men of color. Noting that according to Webster’s Dictionary, a thing or person that comes from humble beginnings and rapidly gains prominence is called a “parvenu” he decided to call the product line, “Parvenu” which he later changed to “Parnevu.”

In 2002, Parnevu was acquired by Murray’s Worldwide, Inc. who expanded the line to include every type of product a woman needs to give her hair total care."

"The Vision of Parnevu"

"Murray’s Worldwide, inc. is a pioneer in the ethnic hair care industry. Having acquired the Parvenu brand they are more determined than ever to produce and grow the Parnevu haircare portfolio. Murray’s vision for Parvenu is to give every woman of color a distinctive advantage when it comes to her hair’s look, feel and manageability.

In order to accomplish this, Murray’s developed two Parnevu product categories: Parnevu T-Tree Collection to combat the problems that start at the scalp and Parnevu For Extra Dry Hair Collection to moisturize even the driest hair with a unique blend of 14 conditioning agents, including coconut oil and palm nuts.

Parnevu T-Tree products is the perfect way to stimulate and refresh both the hair and scalp. Regular use of Parnevu T-Tree Oil products promotes the natural healing process for total hair and scalp health. The advantages of T-Tree Oil are many, it naturally nourishes the hair and scalp, locks in moisture, stops itching, prevents flaking, strengthens hair, stimulates growth, prevents split ends and stops breakage.

Parnevu for Extra Dry Hair Collection products are so light that they absorb quickly to mend hair that is dry and brittle, allowing the hair follicles to breathe naturally while staying clear of product buildup.

The future of Parnevu will focus on products that will continue to address the needs of the multi-cultural consumer with all hair types and textures.

My Thoughts:

When I checked out the company -- it looked to me like they were only geared for African American women/hair. I was wrong!! It turns out their hair care products are for all ethnicities. They have a full line of Tea Tree products for oily haired beauties and moisturizing products for dry haired girls like meI admit I was a little skeptical before I used the product, I didn't think it would do much for my hair because I have literally tried it all. I truly was amazed though, after one use of the shampoo and conditioner, I significantly noticed a change in my hair. Pictures just does not do it justice its something you have to see and feel in person. Not only did it have more body and volume but it felt hydrated! I really liked the fact that being in the South its sooo hot and when I sweat my scalp doesn't itch like it usually does. If I could change one thing about this product it would be the scent itself. It doesn't have a bad scent (its kind of herbal like), I just prefer a shampoo and conditioner with a more fruity or different scent. The formula though itself in my opinion is perfect, and I plan on purchasing it again. Their products are super affordable, the Shampoo and Conditioner are only $6 each. For an organic product I think that is awesomely cheap.

Overall Product Score: 4.6*
