Nourish Organic - Organic Almond Vanilla Body Lotion

Hello Everyone! I hope all of you are having a terrific Friday. As, it is starting to turn into fall and cooling down, it seems I need to moisturize my skin more than ever! I figured this would be the perfect opportunity to try out, and talk to to you about Nourish Organic. Specifically, Organic Almond Vanilla Body Lotion! I have used their Cucumber and Watercress Facial Cleanser in the past, so I wanted to see what else they had to offer, since I enjoyed it.

One thing, I really like about this company is that they give part of their proceeds to a lot of different causes. These causes include but are not limited to: The Women's Center, Association for the Blind, City Rescue Mission, Meals on Wheels, and the Salvation Army. So, not only will you get a product that is great for your skin, but a product that is helping other's as well.

The Product/My Thoughts

Organic Almond Vanilla Body Lotion - "Smooth on this soothing, naturally scented lotion made with organic aloe, rice protein, acai, essential oils and Vitamin E. Perfect for even the most sensitive skin."

This is not at all what I expected! I guess when I think of almond and vanilla, I think of something very nutty as well as sweet since it has vanilla in it. To me however, it smelled almost like fruity pebbles! I know that sounds funny, but it did smell pretty wonderful. 

It was also lighter than I had expected. I thought it would be a little thicker, but I like that it wasn't as thick. It was easy to put on and took hardly any time at all to absorb into my skin.

I also appreciated the fact, that it didn't clog my pores. It also wasn't greasy like some lotion's can be, don't you hate that? However, no problem here. With it having Aloe and Shea in it, I think this will be a great lotion not only for the winter, but all year round.

I also received a sample size of the Coconut & Argan Body Lotion. I was very surprised with smell of it too. To me it smelled like the crisp smell of the ocean, but without the salt smell in it if that makes any sense? I think this is going to make a great gift, and I have the perfect person in mind.

C.O. Bigelow Haul Review

Hello Everyone! I am you are having a wonderful day so far. I recently received some amazing products from a company I have always heard of throughout my life, but haven't been able to experience many of their products until now. So, I was elated when I opened the package they sent me to review. I can't wait to share them with you, so lets get to it!

 Who is C.O. Bigelow?

This company has an amazing history, and by far one of the coolest and most elaborate histories I have ever seen. If you love history you should really check out this cool chart they made which dates all the way back to 1838. Even many presidents throughout time frequently shopped at C.O. Bigelow as well. Here is a short version of the history of their company according to their site:

The Products/The Review

No. 1521 Grapefruit Body Cleanser - "This refreshing body cleanser provides a rich, creamy lather while gently cleansing the skin. Formulated with hydrating sodium PCA (a naturally occurring humectant that draws moisture to the skin) and soothing aloe vera to help skin maintain a perfect moisture balance." So the first thing I must tell you, is all their grapefruit products I have noticed smells just like orange suckers, but I love it! Not only is the scent intoxicating, but I love how the cleanser foams up. A lot of products you have to use a lot to get any kind of foam out of it, not this product. You only have to use a little bit and it covers the whole body. This was my favorite product in the haul.

No. 1533 Grapefruit Body Lotion  - "This silky, moisturizing body lotion provides lightweight moisture while conditioning the skin. Formulated to soften and replenish skin with moisturizing olive and borage oils and soothing aloe vera for super healthy skin, day after day."  I shaved my legs tonight (shocking with my busy schedule I know...haha) and let me tell you, I used this shortly after I got out the shower on them. My legs are sooo silky smooth and radiant! My husband can't keep his hands off them. Not to mention that smell like orange lollypops, yummy!

No. 1603 Derma Remedy Intense Skin Therapy Body Lotion - "Our therapeutic body lotion increases the moisture in skin instantly by 75% then works continuously to cure the signs of severely dry skin within 3 days. Formula 1603 provides more than 24 hours of protection, working to break the cycle of chronic dryness, reducing scaliness, rough texture, dry patches and restoring the overall health of your skin. Hypoallergenic, no artificial colors and not tested on animals." I think this is a perfect lotion for people with dry skin like myself. Unlike the grapefruit lotion this has no scent to it. It's a lotion I would recommend using at night before you go to bed, because it will make your skin sensitive to the sunlight. I think a wonderful thing to do is put it on your feet, then put socks on your feet, and I promise if you do that for 3 nights your feet will be silky smooth.

No. 1012 Chapped Hands Remedy - "The ultimate Medicated Skin Protectant for All-Year Round Use. Glycerin 40.3% Our unique, non-greasy medicated formula promotes healing of rough, dry skin with high levels of super-hydrating glycerin, drawing moisture into the skin making it feel soft and supple. This protective cream not only moisturizes to help cracked, irritated skin but works to prevent future chapping, guarding hands against dry, cold and windy conditions." Out of all the hand creme's I have used since I have started blogging (its been a lot!), I would have to say this is by far one of the best. In fact, I think my husband likes it more than I do. I find this to be the perfect gift for anyone who works with their hands, or just anyone in general who needs it. It does a great job at moisturizing.

Alapure Cosmetics - French Vanilla Marula Body Butter

Good Afternoon! I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend so far. Today, I want to talk to you about an amazing company, I have had the chance to work with as well as try one of their products. They are a newer company but after reviewing their products, I think that they have a really strong chance of making a strong mark in the beauty community. That company is Alapure Cosmetics.

About The Company

"Alapure cosmetics is dedicated to providing the purest ingredients approved for cosmetics. They are continually searching for new and better ways to give you the most radiant Alapure Lifestyle." Their main secret is a product called Marula Oil. "It is extracted from the kernels of the Marula Tree that is found in southern Africa. It is known in Africa as "miracle oil" because of its intensely nourishing, exceptional healing and strong anti-aging properties." They use the oil in the purest way as an extra-virgin form. The owner, Jill Riley, travels around the world (originally from Trinidad) meeting people and finding different beauty ingredients from around the world. She has in my opinion an amazing gift at doing her job, and this is one of the many reasons why I see Alapure being a future brand to be seen. The Product & My Thoughts

   French Vanilla Marula Body Butter  

"Let the uplifting buttery, vanilla blossom scent of French Vanilla soothes your senses while the deep conditioning power of natural anti-aging Marula Oil evens fine lines and works wonders on your skin and body. A combination of Tamanu Oil and Jojoba Oil will supply needed nutrients, while quenching the thirst of dehydrated skin."

I love the way the body butter feels on my skin. It's like nothing I have ever felt before. I know you may be thinking to yourself, What's the big deal it's just body butter! It's one of those things until you try it, you probably will never fully understand. It has a very luxurious feel and goes on smooth. A lot of body butters feel greasy; this is nothing like that. It's one of those items I could see in a spa. 

I am truly putting this body butter to the test! I am a little embarrassed to say I have really tough skin on my elbows and my feet. I wasn't about to show you-all my feet, ha-ha! However, I wasn't too embarrassed to show you my elbows. Below is a picture after I used the product three times a day for 5 days.

I have been trying it over my whole body, and significantly noticed a difference. I don't know if it's a combination of things or what, but I know I have used lotions in the past and they never did this to my skin. Accept this product has Marula Oil in it, I truly believe that is the secret to their products. If you wish to purchase this product it is $19.98 and you can purchase it here.

I am going to try out the soap tonight, so I will let you know how it goes. I can't wait to see what is in store for the future of Alapure Cosmetics!
